Working on solutions for Gulf Coast residents who still can’t find an affordable place to live will be one of the issues a new Senate Housing Committee will tackle this year.
Two others created in the chamber will deal with tourism, and ethics in government.
Who will head those committees as well as others, however, has yet to be revealed. Incoming Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant said his picks will be made public Friday, the day after he is sworn in.
The three new committees were approved at the start of the 2008 session Tuesday.
