Senator Thad Cochran to receive Geographic Visionary award

Next week Senator Thad Cochran will be awarded the Geographic Visionary Award from the Mississippi Geographic Alliance, part of the National Geographic and the University of Mississippi.

Senator Cochran will be awarded on October 15th.

Senator Cochran will join Ambassador John Palmer (2013) and George Schloegel (2014) as a Geographic Visionary award recipient. The award honors a Mississippi business or civic leader who recognizes the importance of global understanding and awareness for Mississippians and/or promotes understanding about Mississippi in other parts of the world.
