Beneath Google’s Fight With Orrick, a Big Business

The Mississippi attorney general sent an email to Orrick’s Brian Cohen on Nov. 25, 2013. This time there was no chatty message. The subject line said it all: Reminder—Fundraising Reception for Attorney General Jim Hood. Inside the email was a copy of a flier inviting attendees to a New Orleans eatery on Dec. 3. Suggested donations ranged between $500 and $2,500. Listed hosts included the Motion Picture Association of America and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
