When asked if Pritchett’s sexual orientation should play any role in the election, Pickering had this to say, “That’s not an issue we’ve brought up and were running on our qualifications and record and that’s where my focus is going to be. ”
The message ends without citing who is responsible for the call. Pickering says he doesn’t know who is responsible, “I take exception to anyone using my name or our campaign.”
