Back in May, we put out a post saying that the candidacy of Alisha Nelson McElhenney would be a litmus test for the political power of the United Conservatives Fund. At that point, their “Director of Policy and Communications” went absolutely beserk accusing YP of “tabloid hatefulness” and published a response saying in essence that they haven’t endorsed anyone.
Until this week.
Now, the UCF executive committee has in fact rendered “recommendations” for all statewide candidates. 67% of the executive committee voted to support McElhenney. 22% took the principled stand of endorsing . . . nobody. 11% (or 1 of the 11 surveyed support Reeves).
Being this right this often ought to earn us some sort of award.
