Southaven to discuss smoking ban in public areas
The Southaven Board of Aldermen is considering a proposal to ban smoking in public areas, including bars, restaurants and offices.
The ordinance would require smokers of tobacco products and e-cigarettes to be at least 25 feet from the entrance of a building covered by the rules and at least 10 feet from the exit of an area where smoking is prohibited.
It would fine smokers and business owners who do not comply.
