As Chairman of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus, I commend all the diverse people from our state who attended the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., September 4-6.
While attending the event, I saw that Democrats were re-energized and are now more prepared to work towards our goal of re-electing President Barack Obama.
I would like to personally thank the Mississippi Democratic Party and its staff for a job well done in organizing our people for the event.
I would also like to thank Representatives Alyce G. Clarke and Omeria Scott, along with Senators David Jordan, Willie Simmons, and Derrick T. Simmons, for their presence at the event and for representing the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus on a national level.
Former President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama evoked feelings of hope and joy as they assured fellow Americans that our economy will be rebuilt by putting the middle class first.
Sincerely
Kenneth Wayne Jones
