McD’s fiasco: Belichick’s revenge?
The way his best-laid plans have blown up on new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels over the past week, it’s almost as if some nefarious rival had a hand in it.
And it’s not out of the question that one did. The deal Patriots coach Bill Belichick ended up making for quarterback Matt Cassel was so one-sided — a second-round pick from old pal Scott Pioli in Kansas City for Cassel and linebacker Mike Vrabel — that even Pioli won’t talk about it.
