Reeves: National Economic Predictions ‘Very Dire’
State Treasurer Tate Reeves said that because of difficulties in the financial markets, most economic projections now are “really very dire, and justifiably so.”
Reeves and Pepper spoke to Mississippi lawmakers Thursday, a day after Gov. Haley Barbour had to cut $158.3 million from the state budget because tax collections are falling short of expectations.
