Tigers’ assistant head coach comes from Oklahoma St.
AUBURN – Gene Chizik has snagged another coach from Oklahoma State to add to his growing coaching staff.
OSU co-offensive coordinator Trooper Taylor was named Auburn’s assistant head coach and wide receivers coach Monday.
The new job marks a return to the SEC for Taylor, 38, who spent four years at Tennessee before joining the OSU staff in 2008.
“This is a great opportunity to join Coach Chizik at Auburn and be a part of a dynamic offensive staff that he has put together,” Taylor said in a university release. “I’m excited to be coaching at a program like Auburn and return to the Southeastern Conference.”
