KNOXVILLE — An all-star coaching cast was unveiled on Rocky Top on Friday, and with it, Tennessee is hoping its one-time reputation of dominance follows.
Ed Orgeron and Monte Kiffin became the newest members of the UT football family as Coach Lane Kiffin continued to back up his promise of hiring one of the best coaching staffs in the nation.
When they sit on that couch in front of (a recruit’s) father, mother, high school coach or the kid, they can say you will get coached better here in three or four years than you will anywhere in college football,” Lane Kiffin, 33, said. “No one else can say that at any other school.”
Orgeron will be the defensive line coach, recruiting coordinator and assistant head coach. Monte Kiffin, Lane’s father, will be the defensive coordinator.
