Dead coach walking: Murder or suicide?
AUBURN – Walked into Tommy Tuberville’s office Thursday morning. Witnessed one of the saddest sights you’ll ever see in a coach’s private domain.
The man who put up six straight wins over Alabama and a winning record against Nick Saban and 13-0 was all alone, taking down pictures from a wall and stacking them neatly on the couch.
Before he disappeared, he wanted to make sure his mementos didn’t.
At least he wouldn’t have to sign the three containers on the floor overflowing with Auburn footballs.
“I don’t think they’re gonna want my name on them now,” he said.
