Chevron Adds Breaux-Lott to Lobbying Stable

Chevron USA has hired the new Breaux-Lott Leadership Group, adding it to a list of firms on retainer that includes Ogilvy Government Relations, Parven Pomper Schuyler and Mayer Brown.

The energy company also reported spending nearly $9 million on its in-house lobbying efforts last year.

The Breaux-Lott team includes former Sen. John Breaux (D-La.), his son, John Breaux, Jr.; former Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.) and former Lott chief of staff Bret Boyles. The registration, filed earlier this month, lists climate change as a lobbying issue area; officials have said a climate change bill could be in the offing.
