Ole Miss alum named deputy White House press secretary
J. Hogan Gidley, 41, of South Carolina, a 1998 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in broadcast journalism and minor in political science, has been named deputy White House press secretary, secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has confirmed in numerous press reports….
…Mississippi Republican leader Henry Barbour is friends with Gidley and a fellow Ole Miss alum.
“He’s a good guy, very nice guy, and I’ve known him from around (Republican National Committee) work,” Barbour said. “We Ole Miss people have to stick together through thick and thin, and there’s been a lot of thin here lately (with football). I’m very happy for Hogan and very happy for Ole Miss.”
