FBI: ‘no credible info of threat’ on letter left at MSGOP headquarters

The FBI says it looked into a letter left outside state Republican Party headquarters in Jackson last week but apparently found no cause for action.

“The letter in question was brought to our attention,” a statement sent by FBI Public Affairs Specialist Brett Carr said. “At times we receive information which we review for possible threats to the American people and act accordingly. While we cannot comment further on this particular matter, we have no credible information of a threat to the local Republican Party headquarters.”
