Gov. Bryant encourages Girls State to be involved in Mississippi, national politics

By: Magnolia Tribune - June 7, 2016

Gov. Bryant speaks at Magnolia Girls State

Governor Phil Bryant was one of the featured speaker at the American Legion Auxiliary Magnolia Girls State on Monday.

Bryant spoke to the group about the strength of Mississippi due to strong individuals that paved the way for where the state is today, which included women who had leading roles in all aspects of the state’s government.

“They can change the dynamics of not only Mississippi’s politics but the nations politics and we want them to be involved in that,” Bryant said. “They need that strong voice, and we need to listen to what they have to say and I just wanted to come in and encourage them to get involved in the political process not only at Girls State but also at a local, state and national level.”
