Lawmaker files legal against House Speaker

Lawmaker receives temporary restraining order against House Speaker Philip Gunn over bill reading machine speed being set so words couldn’t be determined.

Freshman state Rep. Jay Hughes, D-Oxford, filed the restraining order in Hinds County Circuit Court saying the action of the speaker was violating the state Constitution.
