Earle Banks, Bill Waller square off for Mississippi Supreme Court seat
State Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. and challenger Earle Banks clash on several issues including accepting money from political action committees and the role Waller played in the formation of drug courts in the state.
Both Waller and Banks appeared Monday at separate times before The Clarion-Ledger Editioral Board, to discuss why voters should elect them in next week’s general election.
Waller’s main thrust to voters is his experience: Almost 15 years as a state Supreme Court justice, including the last four as chief justice of the nine-member court.
