LSU’s Chad Jones: NFL opportunity ‘impossible for me to pass’

BATON ROUGE – LSU free safety Chad Jones’ decision to enter the NFL draft wasn’t a shocker, but it might have caught the school by surprise.
Jones announced Monday he will enter the 2010 NFL draft, according to a news release e-mailed to several media outlets by Jones’ family.
LSU did not issue a press release, and LSU Coach Les Miles was unavailable for comment while attending the NCAA football coaches’ convention in Orlando, Fla., sports information director Michael Bonnette said.
