Favre Should Embrace the Bold Type
Brett Favre stood before yet another news media horde, on hand to record one of the most anticipated New York football moments in ages: Favre’s first game as a Jet.
Favre was good Saturday night: six attempts, five completions for 48 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.
But in the face of great expectations, Favre has adopted a vocabulary of caution, of “maybes” and “we’ll sees” and “what ifs.”
¶“I hope we have a lot more wins than anything else. Touchdowns are obviously a big part of that, and I hope I’m the one throwing them.”
